$19/hour | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

Reliable transportation is required – the location is not on a direct bus route, and the client prefers candidates with access to a vehicle.

Express Employment Professionals Guelph is excited to be recruiting on behalf of our client for 2 Material Handlers to join their team in Guelph! This is a great opportunity for someone with previous forklift experience who enjoys a hands-on role and is looking for a Monday–Friday day shift with the potential to be hired on permanently.

The Role

We are looking for reliable candidates with 6+ months of forklift/reach truck experience to support receiving, material handling, and production line replenishment in a fast-paced GMP food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials
• Stage materials for QC inspection
• Put away and store materials in the proper locations
• Complete receiving documentation
• Report any non-conformances
• Pick materials and keep production lines stocked
• Replenish materials as needed
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation standards
• Follow all safety, GMP, and SQF requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• 1–2 years of relevant experience
• 6+ months of forklift/reach truck experience
• Forklift certification is not required – the client will provide recertification
• Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Important Food Safety Requirements

This is a GMP-regulated food manufacturing environment, and candidates must be comfortable following strict food safety and hygiene requirements.

• PPE must be worn for the entirety of the shift, including gloves, masks, hairnets, coats, and safety shoes
• No jewelry is permitted
• No false/artificial nails or nail enhancements are permitted
• No false eyelashes are permitted
• Candidates must be comfortable following all food safety, sanitation, and GMP procedures
