Yard Worker / Material Handler

Position Summary

Responsible for supporting warehouse and yard operations for a company specializing in metal buildings, roofing, siding, and metal building components for residential and commercial customers. This role involves order fulfillment, material handling, equipment operation, and customer service in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, locate, and pull customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Identify and handle steel parts, roofing materials, siding, and building components.
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials in the warehouse and outdoor yard.
• Operate forklifts to transport and stage materials within the warehouse.
• Operate a SkyTrak (telehandler) to move and distribute materials in the yard.
• Assist customers with material pickup and order verification.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and equipment operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or yard work preferred.
• Knowledge of steel products and building materials preferred.
• Forklift operating experience required.
• Experience operating a SkyTrak/telehandler is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when pulling orders.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• Overtime and Saturdays as needed

Compensation

• Starting pay: $18.00 per hour or higher based on experience
