Location: Tallahassee, FL
Pay: $25–$30/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Job Type: Evaluation Hire / Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations, supervise maintenance personnel, and ensure equipment, facilities, and building systems remain safe, operational, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the maintenance team
- Perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems
- Schedule and prioritize work orders and maintenance projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and facility regulations
- Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers as needed
- Train, coach, and hold maintenance staff accountable for performance
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and minimize equipment downtime
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance supervisory or lead experience
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- EPA Certification required
- HVAC experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems
- Ability to read manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift, bend, climb, and work in various indoor/outdoor environments
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC/R experience
- EPA 608 Certification
- Experience managing preventive maintenance programs
- Experience in commercial, industrial, apartment, or facility maintenance
