Construction Journeyman

Skilled Construction Journeyman with experience performing a variety of residential and commercial construction tasks. Proficient in reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, operating hand and power tools, framing, installation, repairs, and general construction work. Knowledgeable in construction safety procedures, job-site organization, and quality standards. Able to work independently or as part of a team while meeting project deadlines and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

 

Construction Journeyman – Job Duties

• Perform general construction, remodeling, repair, and maintenance work on residential and commercial projects.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project plans.

• Measure, cut, assemble, and install construction materials accurately.

• Perform framing, drywall, flooring, siding, trim, and other finish work as required.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently.

• Assist with or perform demolition, site preparation, material handling, and cleanup.

• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.

• Identify construction issues and complete necessary repairs or adjustments.

• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized job site.

• Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades to keep projects on schedule.

• Estimate materials and assist with determining the tools and supplies needed for assigned work.

• Complete tasks independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining professional workmanship.
