We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Warehouse Quality Inspector to join a growing distribution operation in the Odessa / Trinity area.
This position is responsible for inspecting incoming products and shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, proper documentation, packaging condition, labeling, and quantities. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with computers and inspection processes, and able to identify discrepancies quickly and accurately.
Location: Odessa / Trinity, FL area
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Lunch: 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. unpaid
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming orders and shipments for accuracy, condition, and compliance with established quality standards
- Verify product information, manufacturer information, part numbers, lot or date codes, packaging, and Country of Origin
- Compare packing slips, invoices, purchase orders, and other documentation for accuracy
- Identify damaged packaging, labeling issues, incorrect products, missing documentation, and other discrepancies
- Follow established product handling and contamination-control procedures
- Verify that products are packaged, labeled, and oriented correctly
- Count and verify product quantities using manual and electronic counting equipment
- Photograph products, packaging, labels, and other inspection details as required
- Upload inspection photographs and documentation into the company's internal system
- Use barcode scanners, document scanners, and other warehouse equipment
- Review purchase orders and sales orders using the company's inventory management system
- Accurately document inspection results
- Approve or reject incoming orders based on established inspection guidelines
- Identify and report nonconforming products or documentation to the appropriate department
- Communicate quality issues clearly with management and other departments
- Operate basic packaging equipment, including vacuum sealers and strapping equipment
- Maintain accurate inspection records and complete required forms
- Keep inspection and work areas clean and organized
- Follow established quality, safety, and warehouse procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of warehouse, distribution, quality inspection, receiving, or related experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to recognize discrepancies in products, packaging, quantities, labels, and documentation
- Comfortable using computers, email, Microsoft Teams, scanners, and inventory management software
- Ability to learn new computer systems and inspection procedures
- Basic knowledge of quality control processes is preferred
- Experience using measuring or inspection equipment is a plus
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to follow detailed procedures consistently
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate an issue
- Dependable and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Must successfully complete a background check
Training & Advancement
On-the-job training will be provided. Employees will learn the company's inspection procedures, quality standards, inventory system, product handling requirements, and inspection equipment.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate continued improvement in inspection accuracy, efficiency, and product knowledge, with the opportunity to progress to a more advanced inspection position.

- Complete inspections accurately and efficiently
- Work toward an inspection rate of approximately 6 orders per hour
- Maintain quality and accuracy within established company standards
- Properly document and communicate any discrepancies or nonconforming products
- Demonstrate continued progress toward advanced inspection responsibilities
