Job Overview: 
 
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Fabricator for a manufacturing client in the Lacon, IL area. This position is responsible for fabricating, forming, and preparing metal components for production using a variety of fabrication equipment and tools. The ideal candidate will have experience operating press brakes, laser equipment, or other metal fabrication machinery and be committed to producing quality work in a safe and efficient manner.
 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
 
  • Fabricate and form metal components according to production requirements.
  • Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications.
  • Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, folding machines, and other shop equipment.
  • Measure, inspect, and verify finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Set up and adjust equipment as needed to achieve accurate dimensions and tolerances.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all safety procedures.
  • Work closely with production team members to meet daily production goals.
 
Qualifications & Requirements: 
 
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Previous fabrication or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience operating press brakes, folding equipment, or laser cutting machines.
  • Ability to read blueprints or shop drawings.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic measurements.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Dependable work history and strong attendance.
