Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Finance Manager for our local client!

Are you an experienced finance professional who enjoys helping organizations grow through strong financial management? We are looking for a Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, support organizational planning, and ensure sound fiscal management.

Position Details

Position: Finance Manager

Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay: $24–$28 per hour, depending on experience

Benefits: Employer-paid health insurance and PTO

What You’ll Do

Financial Leadership & Planning

Lead annual budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting.
Provide financial guidance to executive leadership and program directors.
Monitor cash flow and help ensure the organization has the funds needed for daily operations.
Develop and improve financial policies, systems, and internal controls.
Support organizational planning and decision-making through financial analysis.

Financial Operations & Reporting

Oversee accounting operations in coordination with bookkeeping staff and outsourced bookkeeping services.
Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Present financial reports to the Board of Directors.
Oversee accounting software and financial systems.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and regulatory filings.

Audit, Compliance & Grant Management

Coordinate and support annual external audits.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local funding requirements.
Review contracts and grant agreements for financial compliance.
Develop and manage the annual operating budget.
Monitor program and grant budgets, spending, and financial reporting.
Assist with grant budgets, proposals, tracking, and compliance.
Identify and address budget variances and potential compliance concerns.

Teamwork & Organizational Support

Provide financial guidance and training to program directors and bookkeeping staff.
Collaborate with leadership on organizational strategy and initiatives.
Build relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
Support the Executive Director and organizational leadership as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of progressive financial management experience.
Nonprofit finance, grant management, and compliance experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
