SCHEDULE 7AM-7PM. ROTATION TO THE MORNING EVERY 3 MONTHS.

 

Supports the efficient operation of production processes by ensuring equipment and systems are properly maintained and functioning as required. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshoots operational issues, and contributes to the achievement of safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance goals.

Knowledge | Experience | Skills 

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of work experience in a similar position.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Edge).
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Ability to use electrical measurement tools such as voltmeters, continuity testers, amperemeters, and ohmmeters.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, Allen wrenches, pliers, etc.
  • Ability to use power tools such as drills, rotary drills, and grinders.
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual: English/Spanish.
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs software.
  • Ability to learn assembly processes / automation equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible of follow all safety guidelines, for maintaining a safe work environment and sees that all shop safety rules are being followed, and all housekeeping standards are met.
  • Responsible for ensuring equipment reliability by executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and documenting all maintenance activities within the company's asset management system.
  • Responsible for ensuring all shift production data is properly recorded and maintained for all work centers in the IQ system.
  • Responsible for starting up and operating automation systems, adjusting axis positions and preset parameters, and implementing minor programming changes on automation equipment, robots, PLCs, and other mechanical and electrical assets.
  • Responsible for replacing, repairing and improve mechanical and electrical components.
  • Responsible for training shift operators on the proper operation of automation systems to help improve equipment performance and overall OEE.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting complex servo-driven systems, vacuum circuits, and PLC-controlled machinery using digital multimeters and technical documentation, including mechanical drawings and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Responsible for supporting the training and development of technical associates in process excellence through classroom instruction, on-the-job training, and mentoring.
  • Responsible for assisting with production start-ups and changeovers related to automation equipment. Duties may include, but are not limited to, leveling and squaring automation and robot end-of-arm tooling, centering mechanical components, and relocating automation equipment as needed.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned by the Manager or direct supervisor.
  • Performs facility maintenance and repair activities, as required and assigned, to support building and infrastructure upkeep.
  • Serves as a troubleshooter for automation, secondary equipment, and related issues during development runs.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert by providing machine and process expertise in the investigation, analysis, and implementation of preventive actions related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
