Express Employment is looking for a machine operator in Hattiesburg, MS!

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate various machines to perform production tasks, including drilling, grinding, milling, cutting, and other machining operations.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, work orders, and production specifications to determine required dimensions and procedures.
• Ensure machines operate safely and in accordance with company guidelines and production standards.
• Monitor machines during operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency.
• Inspect machinery and equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality and report any issues or malfunctions.
• Perform quality checks on finished parts using precision and non-precision measuring tools.
• Record production quantities, machine activity, and quality results in production logs.
• Communicate production or equipment issues that may affect timelines or product quality.
• Ensure finished products meet company and customer quality expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and production requirements.
• Experience operating industrial or production machinery.
• Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and work instructions.
• Experience using precision and non-precision measuring tools.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to identify and properly use common machining tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
• Technical training, certificate, or diploma in machining, manufacturing, or a related field is an advantage.
• 1 year of experience as a machine operator or in a manufacturing/production environment preferred.
• Ability to read and understand basic mechanical documents, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.
• Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Ability to safely operate machinery and follow established procedures.
