Schedule: Monday - Friday | Full-Time | Overtime available. Weekends as needed.

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining heavy equipment, diesel trucks, commercial vehicles, and fleet equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Diesel Technician, Fleet Mechanic, Heavy Truck Mechanic, or Equipment Maintenance Technician looking to work with a variety of commercial vehicles and heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform equipment repairs, brake maintenance, and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment, diesel trucks, and commercial vehicles
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment, engine analyzers, gauges, and testing devices to identify equipment issues
  • Perform diagnostic testing to locate malfunctioning systems and components
  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
  • Operate equipment to troubleshoot machine problems and verify the accuracy and completeness of repairs
  • Prepare vehicles for State inspections and DOT inspections
  • Follow all safety procedures and utilize proper safety precautions related to maintenance and repair work
  • Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar mechanic role
  • ASE Certification preferred
  • CDL Class A or Class B License preferred
  • Ability to operate commercial vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions
  • At least 1 year of experience in the concrete industry preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing newer equipment using electronic diagnostic tools
  • Working knowledge of USDOT Federal Regulations and Compliance Guidelines
  • Knowledge of heavy truck brake systems and maintenance procedures
  • Must provide own hand tools
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including walking, reaching, bending, and crouching
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid Driver's License (Required)
  • ASE Certification (Preferred)
  • CDL Class A or Class B License (Preferred)
