Field Operations Instructor III

 

Pay: $32-$36/hour

Shift: 1^st Shift – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Location: Reading, PA

 

Responsibilities of the Field Operations Instructor III:

• Deliver instruction on industry safety practices, regulatory requirements (OSHA, NESC, etc.), and company policies
• Evaluate trainee progress through practical assessments, written tests, and field observations; provide constructive feedback and guidance.
• Maintain accurate training records, develop lesson plans, and update curriculum as industry standards and technologies evolve
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and individualized feedback to support employee growth and success
• Collaborate with other instructors and operational leaders to ensure consistency and quality across training programs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications of the Field Operations Instructor III:

• Must have 4 - 7 years of journey-level technical/field experience as a distribution line worker
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications preferred
• Physical ability to demonstrate field skills such as climbing, rigging, and equipment operation
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA requirements, NESC standards, and utility safety practices
