Warehouse Receiving Associate

 

Role Overview: The Receiving Associate is responsible for the first stage of the inventory lifecycle. You will ensure that all incoming shipments are unloaded, inspected, and documented accurately. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to keep our supply chain moving efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Shipment Processing: Unload delivery trucks and containers manually or using equipment, if available Breaking down boxes, taking the cardboard pieces for disposal.
• Quality Inspection: Verify incoming products against purchase orders for accuracy in quantity and quality.
• Documentation: Log all received goods into the Fishbowl Inventory System (FB) and report any discrepancies or damages immediately.
• Organization: Scan the bar codes from the received material or create bar codes if material does not have one to ensure that all incoming inventory are received in FishBowl and for efficient storage. Provide cross-functional support to the Picking, Shipping and other departments as needed.
• Inventory: Participate in performing routine cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment is preferred but not required.
• Tech Savvy: Familiarity with handheld scanners and basic inventory software.
• Certification: None required
• Reliability: Strong track record of punctuality and a "team-first" attitude.

Shift- Mon-Fri 8am-4pm

37-40 hours week
