Our Client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a dependable Class A CDL Driver!

 

Position Summary: Our client in Cedar Rapids is looking for a dependable and safety focused Class A CDL Driver to operate a semi truck and transport materials between their Cedar Rapids and Iowa City warehouses. This position will also involve occasional deliveries and pickups at customer job sites and other locations throughout the Cedar Rapids area. The driver will be responsible for safely transporting materials and assisting with loading and unloading as needed. This is a hands on driving position that requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a semi truck to transport materials between the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City warehouses
• Make occasional deliveries and pickups at customer job sites and other locations throughout the Cedar Rapids area
• Load and unload materials as needed
• Secure materials properly for transportation
• Complete required vehicle inspections and maintain accurate driving and delivery documentation
• Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding deliveries, pickups, and scheduling
• Maintain a clean and safe company vehicle
• Provide professional customer service when making deliveries and pickups

 

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Safe driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements
• Previous commercial driving experience preferred
• Comfortable operating a semi truck and transporting materials between locations
• Ability to assist with loading and unloading materials as needed
• Dependable, punctual, and safety focused
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures

 

Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM

 

Pay:

• $24/hr
