Salary: $17.70–$24.80/Hour

We are partnered with a medical hospital hiring for a Childcare Assistant Teacher II. The Childcare Assistant Teacher II provides daily care and supervision for children in assigned classroom groups, with a strong emphasis on meeting each child’s individual developmental needs. This role supports the creation of a nurturing, engaging environment that promotes healthy social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. The Assistant Teacher collaborates with lead teachers to deliver developmentally appropriate activities and maintain a safe, supportive learning space.

Salary Range: $17.70–$24.80 per hour (based on experience and credentials)

Responsibilities

• Child Development Support — Provide individualized care aligned with each child’s developmental stage.
• Classroom Environment Support — Assist in preparing materials, organizing the classroom, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Daily Care Routines — Support routines including meals, rest periods, hygiene, and smooth transitions throughout the day.
• Learning Activities — Help implement activities that encourage early literacy, language development, motor skills, and social interaction.
• Safety & Compliance — Maintain active supervision and follow all licensing, safety, and program standards.
• Family & Team Communication — Support positive communication with families and collaborate effectively with teaching staff.

Requirements

• Completion of DCF Introductory 40-Clock-Hour Child Care Training
• 18 months of related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Level 2 AHCA background clearance
