About 
a local manufacturer of poultry equipment for major agricultural companies. We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Shop Hand to join our team and support daily operations on the shop floor.

 

Job Summary
The Shop Hand plays a key role in keeping our shop running efficiently — operating equipment, assisting with parts preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position suited for someone who isn't afraid of hard work and can handle a variety of tasks throughout the day.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials, parts, and finished products around the shop and yard
• Assist with sandblasting parts to prepare them for welding, coating, or finishing
• Load bags of sand into pods/containers
• Clean up and prepare trailers for loading, shipping, or storage
• Perform general shop cleanup and organization duties
• Assist other shop personnel with various tasks as needed
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures at all times

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting on a regular basis (50 Lbs).
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in an industrial shop environment, including exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures
• Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift

Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience preferred.
• Experience in a shop, warehouse, or manufacturing setting is a plus
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction well
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
