Quality Assurance (QA) Technician

A well-established, family-owned food manufacturing company in SW Chicago is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being active, working directly on the production floor, and contributing to food safety and quality standards.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• No weekends

Position Overview

This is not a desk job. The QA Technician will spend the majority of the day in the production area monitoring products, processes, and food safety standards. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and remaining on their feet throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes to ensure quality and food safety standards are met
• Conduct product inspections and quality checks throughout production
• Verify compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Complete quality documentation accurately and timely
• Work closely with production staff to identify and address quality concerns
• Perform routine audits and inspections of equipment and production areas
• Support continuous improvement and food safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Previous Quality Assurance, Quality Control, food manufacturing, or production experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Comfortable standing and walking for the entire shift
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for extended periods throughout the workday
• Frequent walking throughout the production facility
• Ability to work on the production floor for more than half of each shift
• Ability to lift, bend, and move as needed in a manufacturing environment
