Assembler - Longview, TX

Express Employment Professionals of Longview is currently seeking an Assembler for a local manufacturing company in Longview, TX. We are looking for dependable individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Schedule & Pay

• Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Job Summary

The Assembler is responsible for assembling fabricated parts, components, and units according to product specifications and quality standards. This position requires the use of hand tools and power tools, reading shop orders, performing inspections, and ensuring products meet all quality and safety requirements. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while maintaining productivity and accuracy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble fabricated parts, components, and finished products at assigned workstations.
• Use hand tools, air tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
• Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances.
• Identify and repair units that do not meet quality standards.
• Read and interpret shop orders, assembly instructions, and work orders.
• Measure materials accurately using English and Metric tape measures and other measuring devices.
• Ensure all assemblies meet QA/QC standards for appearance, function, and quality.
• Maintain production goals and meet departmental schedules.
• Follow all company safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Clean equipment and work areas as required.
• Work effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Handle hazardous waste properly and place materials in designated containers.
• Maintain storage containers in a closed position except when adding or removing waste.
• Follow hazardous waste contingency plans, spill response procedures, and evacuation routes.
• Comply with all company policies, attendance requirements, and workplace conduct standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to read English and Metric tape measures.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines.
• Ability to consistently produce quality work within established time standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
