Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for an Assembler on 1st Shift with a local pneumatics company. This position is ideal for someone who takes initiative, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble pneumatic units of various sizes and models
• Prepare parts for assembly, including sub-assemblies, end plates, housings, and other components
• Set up and operate a lathe to polish drive shafts and rotors as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering documents
• Utilize measurement tools and accurately interpret readings
• Identify production issues and develop effective solutions
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5 Why problem-solving and 5S practices
• Create and improve standard work documentation to ensure quality and consistency
• Assist with cross-training and support other departments as needed
• Use basic computer programs and SAP for part lookups, reports, and BOM comparisons

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and Bills of Materials
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Vehicle certification
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
• 1-2 years of assembly experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly

Full Time Evaluation Hire Position

M-F 5:00 am - 1:30 pm

$16.00 / hour
