Express Employment Professionals in Athens, TX is seeking an experienced and dependable 1st MIG Welder to join a local company. The ideal candidate will have MIG welding experience, be able to read blueprints, and have strong fabrication and fit-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding, tack welding, and full weld-outs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Fabricate and fit metal parts together according to blueprint specifications before welding.
• Measure, align, and position materials accurately for proper fit and weld placement.
• Use measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and squares.
• Ensure parts are properly aligned, spaced, and secured before welding.
• Maintain quality and accuracy throughout the welding process.

Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass an on-site weld test.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand weld symbols.
• Experience with metal fit-up, including measuring, aligning, positioning, and preparing parts for welding.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools.
• Positive mindset and willingness to learn and be teachable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce quality welds.
