Lab Support and Specimen Technician

Salary: $12.00

Job Duties: 

• Transport specimens between the lab/office and client offices
• Complete accurate data entry, patient setup, labeling, and specimen tracking 
• Support daily lab operations including filing, phone support, and specimen preparation 
• Maintain accurate data entry and specimen labeling
• Ensure specimens are properly tracked and transported
• Support efficient lab workflow 

Requirements: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Previous laboratory, healthcare, administrative, or data entry experience 
• Laboratory accessions experience is a plus 
• Able to use computers and computer programs, laboratory labeling systems, barcode scanners, printers, specimen containers, slide preparation tools, and microscopes as needed 
• Reliable transportation to travel between the laboratory/offices and client offices - will be provided mileage reimbursement 
• Must have valid DL with clean driving record 
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills 
• Proficient in typing
• Able to follow detailed instructions 
• Accuracy with repetitive tasks 
• Able to stand and sit for extended periods of time 
• Good visual accuracy 

Work Schedule: 11am to 7pm Monday - Friday
