Position Summary

We are seeking a 1st Shift Assembler to join a light industrial production team. This role is responsible for assembling light and small parts using hand tools within a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is precise, dependable, and comfortable working within a lean production system.

Key Responsibilities

Operate electric, air, or hydraulic hand tools to assemble light and small parts according to specifications. Follow standard work instructions for each station along the assembly line, ensuring consistency and accuracy on every unit produced. Work collaboratively within a team environment, applying lean production methodologies to maintain efficient workflow and minimize waste. Inspect assembled parts for quality and fit, identifying and flagging any defects or inconsistencies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout the shift. Meet daily production and quality targets as outlined by the assembly line schedule. Communicate with team leads and fellow assemblers to resolve line issues and keep production moving smoothly. Adapt to changing production needs, including rotating between stations or tasks as directed. Remain flexible to work overtime as production demands require.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment utilizing lean production methodologies. Strong precision and dexterity for handling small parts and hand tools. Sound decision-making skills to identify and address quality or process issues on the line. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Experience Required

No prior experience required — training provided.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

Equipment Used

Electric, air, or hydraulic hand tools.

Physical Requirements

Continually use hands to grasp and hold tools and parts. Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per shift. Closed-toe shoes required.

Consistently follow standard work instructions for the assembly line to ensure quality and productivity targets are met.
