QA/CA Manager

CLM Construction is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead and oversee the company’s fabrication quality program. This position is responsible for ensuring fabrication, welding, inspections, testing, material traceability, documentation, and final turnover meet customer, project, code, and CLM requirements.

The QA/QC Manager will oversee QA/QC inspectors and coordinate NDT activities, welding quality, inspection and testing, material traceability, quality documentation, audits, and nonconformance processes. This position will maintain WPS/PQR/WPQ and welder qualification records, coordinate inspections and testing, and ensure required quality hold points are followed.

The QA/QC Manager will work closely with Operations, Material Coordination, Project Management, customers, inspectors, and third-party testing agencies to identify and resolve quality issues before they impact production or project schedules.

This position will also manage NCRs, corrective actions, repairs, reinspection, quality records, and final turnover documentation while maintaining independent authority over quality acceptance.

5+ years of QA/QC, welding inspection, fabrication quality, or related industrial quality experience is preferred, with management experience strongly preferred. Candidates should have strong knowledge of welding quality, WPS/PQR/WPQ requirements, NDT coordination, material traceability, and fabrication documentation.

CWI or equivalent welding inspection certification is strongly preferred. ISO 9001 and experience with applicable ASME, AWS, API, ASTM, and ASNT requirements are a plus.

Strong leadership, communication, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills are essential.

The QA/QC Manager has independent authority to accept, reject, or place work and materials on quality hold when requirements are not met. This position may stop production or testing when quality, traceability, qualification, inspection, or safety requirements are not satisfied.
