Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a
Temporary Concierge Support Specialist for a senior residential community in Altoona. This short-term opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in
customer service, hospitality, concierge services, resident support, caregiving, assisted living, or community-focused roles who enjoys helping others and being a welcoming presence.
This position was created to support residents during a temporary elevator modernization project and provide additional assistance to community management throughout the elevator outage.
What You'll Do
- Provide a friendly and welcoming presence throughout the community
- Greet residents and assist with general questions
- Communicate resident concerns and requests to management
- Help residents carry groceries, supplies, and other reasonable items up and down stairs
- Restock and maintain coffee stations and hospitality areas
- Complete daily walks throughout the building and report observations
- Assist with resident communications, notices, filing, copying, and light office tasks
- Support resident activities with light setup and cleanup
- Maintain a daily activity log of completed tasks and resident requests
What We're Looking For
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable interacting with older adults in a residential community setting
- Organized and able to work independently
- Basic computer and administrative skills preferred
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, concierge services, office support, senior living, assisted living, resident services, caregiving, or similar environments is helpful but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly use stairs throughout a multi-story building
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift
Work Environment
This role supports residents during a temporary elevator outage and serves as an additional resource for the community management team. The position focuses on resident engagement, customer service, communication, and general building support.
This position does not provide personal care, medical care, or healthcare services.
