The Forklift Operator will safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment to transport raw materials, finished products, pallets, supplies, and other materials throughout the facility. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks and trailers, moving materials to designated areas, staging products for production or shipment, and maintaining organized storage areas.

The operator will be responsible for properly handling and positioning materials to prevent damage and ensure efficient workflow. Accurate movement of materials is essential, and the operator may be required to verify quantities, locations, and product information as part of the material-handling process.

Safety is a critical component of this position. The Forklift Operator is expected to conduct routine equipment inspections before operating the forklift, identify and report mechanical issues or unsafe conditions, and operate equipment in accordance with company policies and applicable safety regulations. The operator must maintain awareness of pedestrians, other vehicles, equipment, and changing conditions within the work environment at all times.

The position may also involve assisting with general warehouse and material-handling duties, maintaining clean and organized work areas, supporting inventory organization, assisting with inventory counts, and completing required paperwork or material movement documentation. The Forklift Operator will communicate regularly with supervisors and coworkers to coordinate the movement of materials and help ensure production and shipping activities remain on schedule.
