Childcare Teacher 1

Salary: $18.00 - $26.05 per hour

We are partnered with a well-established early learning center who are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Teacher I to join their team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality care and education for children in a classroom setting while supporting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, creates a positive learning environment, and understands the importance of developmentally appropriate practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive care and supervision for children in assigned age groups.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences.
• Assist with classroom planning, organization, and daily routines.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all children.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
• Maintain compliance with all state licensing requirements and center policies.
• Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones.

Qualifications:

(Required)

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a classroom setting.
• Completion of Florida DCF Introductory 40-Hour Child Care Training, including:
• Part I and Part II courses
• 5 hours (0.5 CEUs) in Early Literacy and Language Development
• Current Level 2 AHCA background clearance.

(Preferred)

One of the following credentials:

• National Early Childhood Credential (NECC)
• Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC)
• Director Credential with at least 5 years of experience working with young children

Candidates currently enrolled in an approved credentialing program may be considered if the credential can be obtained within 12 months and they possess at least 5 years of experience working with young children.
