Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Snow Removal Operator for seasonal opportunities in Scarborough. Successful candidates will be responsible for keeping commercial and residential properties safe and accessible during winter weather conditions by removing snow and applying ice control materials. This role requires working outdoors in cold weather and responding promptly during snowfall events.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove snow from sidewalks, walkways, parking lots, driveways, entrances, and other designated areas.
• Shovel, snow blow, and clear snow efficiently and safely.
• Apply salt, sand, or other ice-melting products to prevent hazardous conditions.
• Operate snow removal equipment such as snow blowers and other hand-held tools.
• Monitor weather conditions and respond to snow events as scheduled.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and report maintenance issues.
• Follow all company safety procedures and provincial health and safety regulations.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members.
• Ensure customer properties are serviced in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

• Previous snow removal, landscaping, construction, or outdoor labour experience is considered an asset.
• Ability to work outdoors in cold, wet, and snowy conditions for extended periods.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation to and from work sites in the Scarborough area.
• Strong work ethic and dependability.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as required by weather conditions.
• A valid driver's license is an asset
