Located in York, PA

Salary: $23-$25/hr

Hours: Monday through Thursday. 6:30am-5pm. Potential OT Friday through Sunday.

Dress code: Jeans, tshirt, and steel toed shoes. Safety glasses and safety vest.

Job Description: 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement sorting, rework, and containment projects in the assigned area in support of the OEM client.
  • Plan projects and implement action plans to support customer requirements and project objectives.
  • Attend project meetings with colleagues and customers.
  • Ensure containment of parts and verify that only approved components are released to the OEM customer for vehicle assembly.

Leadership Role:

  • Maintain open communication between adjoining shift supervision to ensure a smooth transition of operations from shift to shift.
  • Communicate with support departments as needed and conduct pre-shift meetings.
  • Support problem-solving activities and issue resolution.
  • Conduct coaching sessions for day-to-day observations, behavior modification, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure delivery and understanding of all required training and communications for team members.
  • Ensure completion of all forms, paperwork, and time-sheet records on a timely basis.
  • Verify correct execution of projects and work instructions by team members.
  • Implement and enforce adherence to customer safety requirements for the assigned shift.
  • Provide leadership and direction to assigned team members, including scheduling, discipline, safety, training, work assignments, and morale.

Qualification/Requirement:

  • Experience in quality inspections and sorting of parts using predetermined criteria.
  • Hands-on project experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Strong decision-making ability, organizational skills, self-initiative, flexibility, and ability to work within a team.
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools.
  • Experience leading teams and interacting with customers.
  • Good written and oral communication skills to communicate with customers and all levels of the organization.
  • Capability to read and understand engineering drawings and cosmetic standards is beneficial.

Experience/Education:

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.

Environmental Requirements:

  • Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise.
  • Some duties performed outside in all weather conditions.
  • This is a physically demanding position.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment, and supplies weighing 20-50 pounds.
  • Regularly stands, walks, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
