Express has partnered with a family-oriented manufacturing company seeking great people to join their team of talented engineers, fabricators, and machinists. This company provides a professional and fun environment working with a diversified set of customers, products, equipment, and manufacturing processes. An AISC Certified Fabricator, they work with General Construction, Marine Construction, Renewable Energy, Space and Defense, and other industries with a need for metal fabrication and specialized custom equipment.

We are seeking a dynamic Civil Engineering Project Engineer with strong client-facing skills. This hybrid role blends technical expertise with project leadership and business development. You will manage projects from concept to completion while building client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and supporting sales efforts.

 Key Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, design, and execution of metal fabrication projects
• Serve as primary client contact, ensuring clear communication and high satisfaction
• Prepare proposals, estimates, and technical presentations for prospective clients
• Identify new business opportunities and support sales growth
• Collaborate with internal engineering, construction, and operations teams
• Review plans, specifications, and budgets
• Conduct site visits, assessments, and progress meetings
• Ensure projects meet safety, regulatory, and quality requirements
• Create detailed 3D designs for complex projects, specifying dimensions and materials related to the project

Requirements

• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk 3-D modeling software
• Experience in client development and sales required
• Experience in preparing proposals, cost estimates, or bids
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from planning through completion
• Experience coordinating with contractors, engineers, and clients
• Strong interest in welding and machining trades/metal fabrication
• Proven experience in project engineering and management within construction or civil engineering
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Field or job-site experience strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license 

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a degree in civil engineering
• 3–7 years of experience in civil engineering or construction project management 

Schedule & Salary Range.

This role is a fully onsite, full-time exempt position, scheduled Monday through Friday. The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and industry background.
