Warehouseman - $18.00/Hour
Job Summary
Are you an experienced warehouse worker looking for a stable, full-time opportunity? We are seeking a dependable Warehouseman to support daily plant operations through material handling, inventory management, and production support. This role is essential to maintaining efficient workflow and ensuring materials are available when needed to keep production running smoothly.
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Employment Type: Full-Time
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Material Handling
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to safely load, unload, move, and store materials.
- Transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
- Maintain safe material handling practices at all times.
Inventory Management
- Receive incoming inventory and verify shipment accuracy.
- Properly tag, document, and organize materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and storage locations.
Production Support
- Supply production lines with the necessary raw materials to minimize downtime.
- Assist in maintaining continuous production flow and efficiency.
Computer Operations
- Utilize computer systems to receive, tag, track, and ship materials.
- Ensure inventory transactions are entered accurately and timely.
Additional Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, forklift, or material-handling experience preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to work with measurements involving weight, volume, distance, and U.S. currency.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Dependable with a demonstrated history of reliable attendance and performance.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands
- Ability to pass a physical examination, including vision, hearing, and mobility requirements.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other warehouse equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safety standards.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and warehouse setting.
- Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, and industrial equipment.
- Requires adherence to all safety policies and the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work may involve varying temperatures, noise levels, and frequent interaction with production personnel.
