A leading U.S. supplier of building materials, manufactured components, and value-added services for new residential construction, repair, and remodeling projects is seeking a Yard Worker to join their team in Burbank.

Summary: The Yard Worker will be responsible for handling lumber and building materials, keeping the yard clean and organized, and assisting with mill operations. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Stack and organize lumber and building materials safely and efficiently.
• Bundle and prepare lumber for shipment or production.
• Feed lumber through mill machinery as directed.
• Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and handling materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other general yard and material-handling duties as assigned.
• Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous yard, lumber, warehouse, construction, or manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and stacking materials throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely handle lumber and other building materials.
• Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, wind, and other weather conditions.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
• Must have steel-toed boots.
• Must be safety-conscious and able to work effectively with others.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move lumber and materials repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors and in the elements.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks safely.
