Mechanical Technician Job Duties

As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, inspecting, and preparing rental equipment and machinery for use and delivery.

Responsibilities include:

• Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble rental equipment and machinery
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment
• Perform mechanical assembly and equipment maintenance
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete repairs
• Inspect repaired equipment to verify proper operation and quality
• Follow work orders and written or verbal instructions
• Load and unload equipment and materials from delivery trucks
• Safely move, organize, and prepare equipment for delivery
• Operate equipment used to move and handle materials
• Drive company vehicles to deliver rental and sales orders safely and on time
• Perform routine maintenance checks on company delivery vehicles, including oil and fuel levels
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Report equipment or vehicle issues to the Warehouse Foreman
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Mechanical Technician Requirements

Qualified candidates should have:

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to safely lift, move, load, and unload equipment and materials
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to meet company insurance requirements
• Forklift experience strongly preferred

Previous experience in any of the following is preferred:

• Mechanical repair
