Manufacturing Technician Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will fabricate finished conveyor belts according to precise specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Fabricate conveyor belts according to shop orders and specifications
• Complete assigned manufacturing and production work accurately and efficiently
• Read and follow shop orders, work instructions, and working drawings
• Use hand tools and measuring equipment to complete fabrication work
• Accurately use tape measures, calipers, and scales
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications
• Identify and clarify unusual or unclear fabrication instructions
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Assist coworkers and other departments as needed
• Follow company safety and quality procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Manufacturing Technician Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Previous machine operator, manufacturing, production, fabrication, or industrial experience
• Ability to read and understand shop orders and working drawings
• Experience using hand tools
• Ability to accurately read and use tape measures, calipers, and scales
• Ability to work with fractions, decimals, and the metric system
• Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Consistent work history and dependable attendance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
