Express Employment Professionals is recruiting dependable individuals for Fire Watch positions with a local company.

This position is responsible for monitoring work areas where welding, cutting, grinding, or other hot work is being performed to help prevent fires and maintain a safe work environment.

🔥 Key Responsibilities

• Monitor designated work areas during welding, cutting, grinding, and other hot-work activities
• Watch closely for sparks, flames, smoke, or other potential fire hazards
• Keep the work area clear of combustible materials
• Maintain access to fire extinguishers and other emergency equipment
• Immediately report unsafe conditions or signs of fire
• Follow all company and job-site safety procedures
• Remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift
• Continue monitoring the area after hot work is completed as required
• Communicate effectively with welders, supervisors, and other team members

✅ Skills Required

• Must be able to stand on your feet for the entire shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings
• Ability to remain focused and alert for extended periods
• Dependable and safety-minded
• Ability to follow verbal and written safety instructions
• Good communication skills
• Comfortable working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Ability to walk and move around the work area as needed

🛠️ Experience Required

• Previous industrial, manufacturing, construction, or safety experience is helpful but may not be required
• Fire Watch or hot-work safety experience is a plus
• Must be willing to follow all required PPE and safety guidelines
• Reliable attendance is essential
