Shop Helper – Mechanically Inclined

Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Are you mechanically inclined, good with your hands, and comfortable using a tape measure? We have a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to learn new skills in a metal fabrication shop!

We are looking for a dependable Shop Helper to assist an experienced Welder with cutting, bending, measuring, and preparing metal materials. You don't need to be a welder! We will provide training on the specific equipment and machinery used in the shop.

Responsibilities

• Measure metal materials accurately using a tape measure.

• Assist with cutting, bending, and preparing metal components.

• Work alongside an experienced Welder to complete shop projects.

• Learn to safely operate shop equipment and machinery.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

What We're Looking For

• Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on mindset are a must!

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately, including fractions of an inch.

• Comfortable working with tools and equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions.

• Previous experience in a shop, manufacturing, construction, or metal fabrication environment is a plus.

No welding experience required! We're looking for someone with strong mechanical abilities, solid measuring skills, and a great work ethic. Training will be provided!
