Manufacturing Uniformity Technician

We are seeking a Manufacturing Uniformity Technician for a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining and calibrating equipment used to inspect wheel, disc, and rim uniformity, as well as leak-testing equipment.

1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift Available

Job Responsibilities:

• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot uniformity inspection equipment and gauges

• Perform equipment and rim line changeovers

• Verify and maintain leak-testing equipment

• Perform gauge measurement system analysis and capability studies

• Monitor statistical data related to uniformity characteristics

• Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment

• Train employees on the proper use of uniformity equipment

• Program, operate, and maintain CMM equipment

• Perform dimensional layouts and weld macro inspections

• Maintain accurate records and documentation

• Participate in problem-solving, employee involvement, and 5S activities

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced math skills

• Familiarity with various units of measurement

• Ability to read prints and understand GD&T

• Familiarity with electrical and air systems, including basic troubleshooting and maintenance

• Strong computer skills, including hardware, software, databases, and troubleshooting

• Ability to analyze and work with statistical data

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Previous experience with Moore/Akron standard gauges is preferred

Additional Qualifications:

• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve equipment issues

• Ability to learn and train others on technical equipment

• Experience with statistical software and measurement systems is preferred

• Ability to work independently while also supporting a team environment
