Our client is seeking a Claims Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy Claims Department. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can develop employees, improve processes, maintain claims systems, and ensure the department meets established standards for accuracy and turnaround time.

What You’ll Do

Claims Operations & Leadership

  • Oversee daily claims processing operations and departmental workflow
  • Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround standards are consistently met
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop Claims Department employees
  • Assign work, evaluate performance, and support employee development
  • Establish and maintain claims processing policies, procedures, and guidelines

Claims Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain and update health plans within the claims processing system
  • Coordinate system updates, new edits, fee schedules, and coding changes
  • Generate and review productivity and performance reports
  • Monitor processing standards, timelines, and workflow distribution
  • Stay current on industry regulations and changes affecting claims processing

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous claims supervision, management, or related leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of claims administration, regulations, and processing systems
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Professional written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and coding preferred
  • College degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field preferred
