Machinist

A company in North Fort Worth is looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to join their team.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $22-27/hr

Job Duties

• Machine and modify parts needed for production and assembly
• Operate manual engine lathes, radial drill presses, surface grinders and other manual machining equipment
• Fabricate and modify tooling
• Perform thread tapping and center-forming
• Work from drawings, measurements and tolerances
• Use calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and thread gauges
• Work with both metric and standard measurements
• Handle large parts using cranes and forklifts
• Support assembly, disassembly and gear grinding operations

Requirements

• Previous manual machining experience
• Experience with manual lathes, drill presses and surface grinders
• Able to work within tolerances as tight as 0.0005" / 0.010 mm
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Able to read metric drawings and tolerances
• Experience using precision measuring tools
• Comfortable machining large parts
• Crane and forklift experience
• Strong mechanical background
• Gear or gearbox experience is a plus
• Associate degree, bachelor's degree or comparable industry experience

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand for extended periods
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
