Assembler II

Location: Covington, LA
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Assembler II for a manufacturing facility in Covington. This position is ideal for someone with industrial assembly, pipefitting, millwright, or mechanical experience who enjoys working with complex equipment and following detailed engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assemble industrial equipment and components using engineering drawings, sketches, and manufacturing instructions
• Operate assembly equipment, including hydraulic benders, orbital welders, pumps, motors, and piping systems
• Rotate, position, and align equipment during the assembly process
• Perform pipefitting, millwright, and mechanical assembly duties
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
• Follow all company safety procedures and standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Complete work according to production schedules and deadlines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of three years of experience in industrial assembly, manufacturing, pipefitting, millwright work, or a related trade
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions
• Experience using industrial assembly tools and equipment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, squat, and work in confined spaces
• Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks using both hands
• Sufficient vision to safely complete assembly and inspection work

Work Environment

• Heavy industrial manufacturing environment
• Primarily indoor work with varying temperatures throughout the year
• Regular use of manufacturing equipment, machinery, and tools
