Construction Laborer

Responsibilities

• Apply painted lane lines and roadway markings using specialized striping equipment
• Assist with the setup, operation, and cleanup of pavement marking equipment
• Load paint, materials, tools, and equipment onto company vehicles
• Assist with measuring and laying out roadway markings
• Follow established plans to ensure accurate placement of stripes and markings
• Set up cones, signs, and other traffic-control devices around work areas
• Work safely around active roadways and moving traffic
• Travel with the crew to various job sites throughout the region
• Ride in and potentially operate company vehicles and work trucks
• Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of striping equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized truck and work area
• Follow all company, DOT, and job-site safety procedures

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Comfortable spending significant time traveling and working on the road
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, and changing weather conditions
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Must be comfortable working around traffic and construction equipment
• Strong attention to detail — roadway markings must be straight, accurate, and properly placed
• Dependable and willing to work as part of a traveling crew
• Previous construction, roadwork, pavement marking, painting, or equipment experience is a plus
• Experience driving work trucks or operating equipment is a plus
