The Welder will perform welding and fabrication work on ductile iron pipe and related components while ensuring completed work meets quality, production, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication work according to specifications and production requirements.
• Prepare, fit, cut, grind, and position metal components for welding.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and proper appearance.
• Operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting equipment, and hand and power tools.
• Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and required PPE guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Produce quality welds that meet specifications and production standards.
• Complete assigned welding and fabrication work accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following company safety procedures.

Skills Required

• Ability to produce quality welds and follow welding specifications.

• Ability to read basic measurements, drawings, and work instructions.

Experience Required

• Previous welding experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or fabrication environment.
• Experience operating welding equipment and related hand and power tools.
• Experience working with metal materials and performing basic fitting, grinding, and fabrication.
• Ability to follow welding specifications, work instructions, and safety procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
• Lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as required.
• Work in various positions while welding, fitting, grinding, and fabricating.
• Work safely in an industrial environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and welding fumes.
• Wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing.
