Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to repair, maintain, troubleshoot, install, and rebuild assigned machinery, mechanical equipment, building systems, and production equipment. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, completing repairs, and ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies.

The ideal candidate will have strong industrial mechanical skills, electrical troubleshooting ability up to 480 volts, and experience working with production machinery, presses, tools, welding equipment, and industrial repair equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery according to established schedules.

  • Install, rebuild, repair, replace, and refit a wide variety of machines and mechanical parts.

  • Service and maintain building and production equipment following proper procedures.

  • Analyze, detect, troubleshoot, and determine the nature of equipment problems.

  • Provide input on the extent of repairs needed and select materials required for repairs.

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues up to 480 volts.

  • Notify the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective actions taken.

  • Tear down and rebuild presses as needed to repair dies.

  • Assist with building repairs and general facility maintenance.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, drill presses, and other industrial repair equipment.

  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to lower-level mechanics when needed.

  • Follow and enforce company safety policies and procedures at all times.

  • Maintain regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.

  • Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous industrial maintenance, mechanical maintenance, or manufacturing maintenance experience required.

  • Strong industrial mechanical skills required.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480 volts.

  • Experience performing preventive maintenance on production machinery.

  • Experience installing, rebuilding, repairing, and replacing machine components.

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, equipment manuals, company manuals, and procedures.

  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, drill presses, and related industrial repair equipment.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

  • Ability to observe, identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.

  • Basic math and computer skills required.

  • Good communication skills required.

  • Ability to read, speak, and write English required; bilingual Spanish is helpful.

  • Must be safety-focused, dependable, and able to work as part of a maintenance team.

Work Environment

This position works in an industrial manufacturing environment. Work may involve exposure to production machinery, mechanical equipment, presses, dies, tools, welding equipment, electrical systems, building equipment, noise, heat, moving parts, and other industrial conditions. Safety procedures and required PPE must be followed at all times.

Schedule

Schedule may vary based on business needs. Must have regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.

Pay Rate

$28/hr.
