About the Role

Express Employment Professionals is hiring Warehouse Supervisors for manufacturing, distribution, and logistics clients across the Hayward, Fremont, Union City, and Newark area. In this role, you'll lead a team of warehouse associates, keep material and finished-goods flow moving accurately and on schedule, and make sure the floor runs safely and efficiently shift after shift.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and schedule warehouse associates, forklift operators, and material handlers across receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping
• Coordinate inbound raw material and outbound finished-goods flow with production and purchasing to avoid line stoppages
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols, PPE compliance, and OSHA requirements on the warehouse floor
• Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation of WMS/ERP records (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, WMS platforms)
• Track and report daily/weekly KPIs: order accuracy, on-time shipping, labor productivity, and inventory discrepancies
• Train new hires and cross-train associates on equipment, processes, and safety procedures
• Coordinate forklift, pallet jack, and other material-handling equipment maintenance and certification schedules
• Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, packing slips, and physical receipts
• Act as the shift point of contact for production, quality, and management on material and staffing issues
• Support disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and attendance tracking for warehouse staff

What We're Looking For

• 10 + years of warehouse or distribution experience, including at least 5 year in a lead or supervisory role
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of WMS/ERP systems and basic Excel/reporting skills
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain); familiarity with other material-handling equipment
• Understanding of inventory control practices: cycle counts, lot tracking, FIFO/FEFO
• Strong leadership and communication skills — comfortable directing a team and managing conflict
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods in a warehouse environment
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety best practices
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese) strongly preferred for many client sites
