We are seeking an experienced Production Worker / Machine Operator to join an established precision manufacturing operation in the Bay Area.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on manufacturing experience who is comfortable operating and tending multiple machine tools, inspecting precision-machined components, using measuring instruments, and working in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, or tend production machines used to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic materials.
• Load workpieces manually or with a hoist and properly secure materials in fixtures or automatic feeding devices.
• Start machines, engage feeds, and monitor equipment during operation.
• Inspect and measure completed workpieces to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Use micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, and rulers to verify part dimensions.
• Make necessary adjustments to machine controls and guides.
• Replace worn machine accessories, including cutting tools and brushes.
• File, sand, shape, and clean machined parts as needed.
• Follow established safety procedures, operating instructions, and production requirements.
• Perform additional production duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5–7 years of related production or manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Previous experience operating or tending machinery in a manufacturing or machine-shop environment.
• Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Comfortable with basic shop math, including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is an active manufacturing/shop-floor position that requires standing for extended periods. The position involves frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs.

Employees may work around moving mechanical equipment and airborne particles. The manufacturing environment may have moderate to loud noise levels.
