Lead Manufacturing Operations and Drive Results

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager with a strong background in CNC machining, manual machining, and MasterCAM programming to lead our manufacturing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who can manage people, improve processes, and drive production performance in a fast-paced machine shop environment.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading manufacturing teams, optimizing production processes, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily manufacturing and machine shop operations
  • Manage CNC and manual machining departments
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop machinists, programmers, and production personnel
  • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and on-time delivery
  • Support and improve machining processes using MasterCAM and CNC best practices
  • Monitor key performance indicators including productivity, efficiency, scrap, quality, and labor utilization
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
  • Improve equipment utilization, reliability, and overall operational performance
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and quality standards
  • Identify and implement cost-saving and process improvement opportunities

QualificationsRequired

  • 5+ years of Manufacturing Management, Production Management, or Machine Shop Leadership experience
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of CNC machining operations
  • Experience with manual machining equipment and processes
  • Working knowledge of MasterCAM programming
  • Experience leading manufacturing, machine shop, or production teams
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
  • Strong understanding of tooling, machine setup, machining strategies, feeds, and speeds
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Knowledge of GD&T and quality inspection processes
  • Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment
