In the warehouse, there are multiple 'departments.' So, one would start with the most basic and then move up as they get experienced.  Will start in Assembly and Dry Room. Other positions are below that one could move to. 

ASSEMBLY: Assembler is given a production schedule at the beginning of each day a schedule is used to have a visual look at what needs to get done that day. When assembler looks at his/her schedule they will look for the first job that needs to get done per date! Schedule will provide a (job#, CD#, DESCRIPTION, and DATE) Assembler must go find that specific job or CD# in dry room, once a job has been identified the assembler will then have to verify a piece count for each piece per print, it is important to do a piece count for each job, this will help the assembler when it is time for assembly. If assembler is missing parts to a job, the assembler must immediately notify warehouse manager for further assistance.  If job can’t be assembled then get the next job on the list.  Once a job is ready for assembly, assembler will need to clock in to start this job. When assembler is clocked he or she must read the print carefully to check for heights and depths or any special plug instructions (A TAPE MEASURE IS REQUIRED) some jobs do not require any assembly and not all jobs assembled require a case.  Read print carefully.  If you are not sure on how a job gets assembled please notify warehouse manager! Assembler must check for case model# and color, before adding any glue into the case or foam, test fit to make sure everything fits properly into the case. If not sure about a case or on how to fit a foam pack in a case please ask for assistance!  All jobs that don’t require a case will have an (F) “Next to CD#) EXP. CD10000F. There are jobs that might have an F next to the CD# and also say (CPC) this means customer is providing a case so we can’t use any of our stock cases.  Check prints for any labels or overlays that might need to get installed before finishing out. It is important to set up a work station when starting each job, make sure you have all pieces ready to work. Each job is timed and is expected to get done within that time. Some of the time might not be accurate but it is typically close to how long the job should take. If you feel the estimated time is not correct for the job please bring it to our attention.

DRY ROOM: Jobs in dry room need at least 8 hours of dry time, when picking up a job from dry room the assembler must check for any wet surfaces. If job is wet put in front of a fan.  If the job is fully dried assembler must verify a piece count before taking the job to assembly area. There is also a log in and log out step for dry room. Plug cutter is responsible to log in and out of dry room, this is an immediate step that needs to get done right after saw operator finishes plug cutting. If there are any questions please ask!

Water Jet Operator:  MUST CHECK FOR CORRECT MATERIAL BEFORE STARTING EACH JOB.  Some jobs might have various types of materials. The material list is located on the top right of each print, if you are not sure or have any questions about any materials or lay out of a print please ask warehouse manager.  DO NOT CUT WRONG MATERIAL/ DO NOT PULL WRONG MATERIAL.  Look out for correct QUANTITIES, and correct HEIGHTS. 

SKIVER:  When operating skiver the operator must check for correct measurements and make sure that the material is correct.  Operator must know difference between all types of foam/not all foam can be skived and only certain measurements can be trimmed.  DO NOT TRY SKIVING  .125” OR .25”.  If operator has a question on a material please ask. DO NOT PUT FINGERS NEAR BLADE.  Skiving is typically a step that requires a log in and log out during MATERIAL PULL. If there is not a skiving step it would need to be logged in through MATERIAL PULL. IF LESS THAN A FULL SHEET DO NOT SKIVE MATERIAL UNLESS THE PRINT SPECIFIES TO DO SO. 

SAW OPERATOR:  Saw operator must learn all safety hazards; operator is required to use safety glasses. Saw must be cleaned daily. If the saw operator needs help replacing a blade please find the warehouse manager.  KEEP FINGERS AWAY FROM BLADE WHILE OPERATING. Saw operator is also required to log in and log out of each job. Operator must learn how to read prints, check for heights and depths. It is important to read print in detail, each print is different.  Make sure to check for correct materials or any saw cuts needed to be cut per print. When cutting a job per print employee must check for correct quantities, in some cases there will not be a PLUG CUTTING STEP. Once job is completed for that step operator will place it in the dry room where it’ll dry for the next 8 hours.
