Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hard-working Rebar Fabricator to join a busy steel fabrication operation. This is a heavy labor position requiring previous experience in construction, steel, fabrication, manufacturing, or another physically demanding industrial environment.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with heavy steel materials, following safety procedures, operating or learning production equipment, and working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

This position is temp-to-hire with a 90-day evaluation period, providing an opportunity for the right candidate to earn a permanent position based on attendance, performance, work ethic, safety, and overall job fit.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate reinforcing steel (rebar) according to production requirements and specifications.
• Load, unload, move, sort, and stage heavy steel and fabricated rebar.
• Operate and learn various fabrication equipment and machinery.
• Assist with cutting, bending, shaping, and preparing rebar for construction projects.
• Work safely around heavy equipment, steel materials, forklifts, cranes, and other machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and PPE requirements.
• Work effectively with supervisors and other team members to meet daily production goals.
• Perform other general labor and fabrication duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in heavy construction, steel, fabrication, manufacturing, welding, warehouse, or industrial labor strongly preferred.
• Must be comfortable performing heavy physical labor throughout the workday.
• Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, and work for extended periods.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Willingness to learn and cross-train on different equipment and tasks.
• Previous rebar or steel fabrication experience is a plus, but not required for the right candidate.

Physical & Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding heavy-labor position.

Candidates must be able to:

• Work around heavy steel and industrial equipment.
• Lift and move heavy materials throughout the shift.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Work in varying weather and temperatures as required.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Safely perform repetitive physical tasks.

Requirements

• Pre-employment drug screening required.
• Background check required.
• Must be able to successfully complete the employer's screening process.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance are strongly preferred.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a 90-day evaluation period. Candidates who demonstrate strong attendance, reliability, productivity, safety awareness, and a good work ethic may be considered for permanent employment.

Starting Pay: $20.00/hour
