Electrical Control Panel Assembler

Pay: $25.00–$29.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift

 

 

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of electrical assembly, control panel wiring, or related electrical experience and be comfortable working independently to build high-quality panels from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire electrical control panels according to prints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications
  • Independently build standard control panels from prints and schematics
  • Install DIN rail, wire duct, wire-way covers, and electrical components
  • Layout and mount components within control panels and enclosures
  • Drill, tap, cut, and modify sub-panels and enclosures as needed for component installation
  • Select appropriate hardware, drill sizes, and mounting methods
  • Install pre-processed wire kits and correctly interpret printed wire identification
  • Hand-wire panels directly from electrical schematics
  • Perform manual crimping of terminals, ferrules, and common lug sizes using approved tools
  • Use basic hand tools, power tools, and torque tools safely and accurately
  • Verify proper wire routing, separation, labeling, termination, and torque
  • Maintain high workmanship standards for panel cleanliness, organization, and overall quality
  • Inspect completed work to ensure panels are ready for quality control
  • Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures
  • Assist with training or supporting other electrical assembly employees as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of electrical assembly, control panel wiring, or related electrical experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
  • Experience with electrical control panel assembly and point-to-point wiring
  • Experience drilling, tapping, and performing basic mechanical fabrication
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, crimping tools, and torque tools
  • Basic working knowledge of electrical standards such as NEMA, NEC, UL, and IEC
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
