Inventory Control I

Location: Gardena, CA
Reports To: Inventory Lead

Temp - Possible Evaluation to Hire depending on Business needs

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control I professional to help maintain inventory accuracy and support warehouse operations. This role is responsible for cycle counts, inventory audits, discrepancy investigations, product organization, and inventory reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with inventory systems, and a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain product identification and warehouse locations using 5S principles.
• Track, document, and report inventory issues and unusual inventory activity.
• Inspect products and record damaged goods.
• Validate deliveries against receiving documentation.
• Recommend solutions for inventory challenges such as overstock or misplaced inventory.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of inventory control or warehouse inventory experience.
• Experience with MRP systems; JDE E1 experience preferred.
• Knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and material handling processes.
• Experience performing cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Strong mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
