The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machines to produce precision metal components according to customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, using precision measuring instruments, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Load materials and tooling into machines and adjust machine settings as needed.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality of finished products.
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools.
  • Edit CNC programs and make machine offsets as necessary.
  • Maintain production records and inspection documentation.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and perform basic machine maintenance.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience with CNC mills and lathes.
  • Knowledge of G-code programming preferred.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
