General Laborer / Equipment Assembler
Location: Cranford, NJ
Pay: $20–$22/hour
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on General Laborer / Equipment Assembler to assist with equipment assembly, material handling, and general shop duties in Cranford, NJ.
This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools, and willing to assist with a variety of physical and mechanical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the assembly of equipment and components
- Move, load, unload, and organize materials
- Use basic hand and power tools
- Assist experienced team members with equipment and shop projects
- Prepare materials and parts for assembly
- Perform general labor and material handling duties
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow OSHA and company safety procedures
- Assist with additional tasks as needed
Requirements
- Current OSHA 30 certification required
- Previous general labor, assembly, construction, warehouse, or mechanical experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools is a plus
- Mechanically inclined and willing to learn
- Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift
- Must be dependable and able to follow instructions
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Must wear long pants and safety-toe work boots
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
Ideal Background
